Basic Concept Behind Kids weight loss
The basic concept for kids weight loss or adult weight loss is simple. The concept says that one should eat more calories than he/she burns to gain weight and to loose
he/she should eat fewer calories than he burns. This concept is known as calorie balance. Go to any gym the personal trainer or fitness expert or a dietitian; will definitely ask you to follow this golden rule. This rule is universally applicable whether it is kids weight loss or a weight loss scheme for adult.
As both of them follow the same rule so do there processes are also same…? Answer for this question is no. Kids weight loss scheme is different from that of adult scheme. There are some important measures that need to be taken care in kids weight loss scheme.
First of all we will consider nutrition. As young people are in their growing stage, so they need complete nutrition for their normal growth. We cannot starve a kid’s body in terms of calories just to reduce the weight. It may hamper hisher normal growth. Fad diet may be unhealthy for adults but harmful for kids.
As our main goal is kids weight loss but we cannot ignore the amount of nutrient required by that kid as he is his growing stage. This requirement of nutrition is not same in case of an adlt and a kid.. For instance, a kid requires more amount of carbohydrates than an adult. An old male requires less amount of calcium than a young female. List of such instances goes on and on. An adult can normally loose their weight by swimming and physical exercise. But for a kid weight loss it is necessary to have a trained and qualified weight loss coach or a dietician. All the nutrient requirements of kid should be met when the calories are restricted for that kid and the negative calorie balance should also be maintained during the course.
Secondly we consider exercise. The type and intensity of exercise given to an adult is not same as that of kid. Coach need to give more precise exercise to kids which do not put too much pressure on them. A young kid should not be subjected to long training session otherwise heshe burn out both physically and mentally.
So the way their parents loose weight is not the same way kids loose weight. Kids weight loss should be done in such a way that nutritional content should be maintained. So in all kids weight loss is a tricky and complex program which should be done carefully.
