Collagen injections

Skin traumas include cut on the skin, abrasions against hard surface puncture of wounds or skin disease like chickenpox or acne. Piercing of skin may also lead to scar formation. After the development of a keloid, there are a variety of keloid treatments available. Of the various treatments for keloid scar removal, some are discussed here:

1. Surgical scar removal: One can go for traditional surgical treatment or laser treatment to remove keloids but there are risks involved. First of all, it is not necessary that the scars are gone forever. Moreover, a surgery may make way for another surgical scar. 4. Scar gels: of all the topical treatments available, silicone scar gels are the best for removing scars. They develop a protective film over the scar and take care of it during the movement. It forms a barrier which not only protects the scar from physical elements but also let keloids retain moisture from the nearby healthy portions of the skin which helps in flattening the scar and their faster healing. Gels take more time to be effective but they are less expensive and risky than surgical treatments and show more reliable results than other topical scar treatments.

Keloids are a type of scars which, if left untreated, can pose serious problems and get out of control. It is best in this case to start the keloid scar treatment as soon as possible. Some keloids require surgical treatment while some can be cured just by using non- prescribed topical scar treatment.
