A person suffering from drug abuse does not only changes the conditions for himself where he lives and works, but also develops a second person within his psyche with whom he talks with every time and considers it to be his alter ego. And being in direct proportion, the drug addict not only does change the person’s mindset, but also shakes the peace of mind of the people around the victim. Even in spite of a long period of trying, people generally do not get past this habit very easily and thus a long term connection with the pills leads to deterioration.

Getting addicted to the drugs physically means that the drugs over a period of time trap your mind and then make your hands reach up to them without any orders from the brain and it is because of these drugs only that you are able to feel relaxed and intoxicated, if you get addicted to them.

Also, there is an addiction over the mind, when there is a feeling that you cannot survive this all without having the drugs at regular intervals of time. People develop this notion that these drugs would help them relieve from all the sufferings of the world.

Thus it could be said that drug abuse is just a minor form of drug addiction which if not treated properly could lead to disastrous results. Ironically, the person who would observe the addiction of the drugs in the last would be the person itself who is addicted to the drugs.
