Excessive Weight Gain Should Be Controlled
Gaining weight is nothing wrong according to medical science. It becomes an issue only when the weight gain may
exceed the threshold depending upon the person’s BMI. Considering this, one should constantly know their body weight in order to gauge their obesity risk. Thus one should educate himself on the 4 phases or stages of obesity
a) The earliest phase
b) The progressive phase
c) Latest phase
d) Severe obesity.
In earliest phase, the person’s weight may be around 15-30% as compared to ideal weight. According to the progressive phase, one may suffer from 30-50% more weight as compared to ideal weight. According to this phase the weight is increased by 50-100% approximately. Severe obesity is the fourth or the last phase. This is a very critical stage and it is the house of all the problems are it diabetes or may be high blood pressure. Thus the person should find a remedy for this problem and try and improve the situation.
When the person is in the earliest & the progressive phase of obesity, then one generally may not have much of the physiological discomfort because there may be no functional & structural changes. The organs do not experience much change. The person becomes uncomfortable regarding their appearance and the person is very apprehensive regarding what to wear and what not to wear. This is a stage at which the person can undo the things and look healthy. The person should follow a healthy diet pattern and go for walk and preferably brisk walk.
The progressive phase is a little more complicated to the earlier one. Here the person has to work a little more on reducing weight. It is advisable that the person should join a gym or may be go for regular exercise. Diet should be planned properly after consulting a physician.
Latest phase is the third phase in obesity. This is the last and the most critical stage of obesity. One may start experiencing certain physiological discomfort which may be the pressure in spine or the bones & even the junctions. These problems collectively cause uneasiness when a person walks. In other severe cases, the latest phase also causes the chronic & periodic pain & confines a person’s mobility.
When a person is suffering from severe obesity then he would suffer from the problems mentioned above along with other issues like joint pain or may be depression and drowsiness and even breathlessness.
