Is Weight Loss Your New Year Resolution?
As we all know these are the last few days left in the year 2009 and its time we bid adieu this year and welcome the New Year i.e. 2010. Most of us, rather almost every one
of us set our New Year resolutions at this time and try to follow it the next year. One of the most popular New Year resolutions, considering the amount of people around having this problem is weight loss. If you are one of them, you are at the right place at the right time. This is time that you seriously consider the prospect, and act on getting your strategy right, as in, in terms of, what results you want.
First of all, this is not that easy as it seems to be. You have to set the realistic goals, and most importantly the ones which don’t have any or at least not many side-effects. At the beginning, you should consult your doctor who will help you set goals in a way that you do not have many side effects. He will tell you the best strategy in terms of how much weight you should lose. This will help in getting the correct weight range you should have.
Your doctor will also help you find out the amount of fat that needs to be reduced, as, weight loss in itself is not enough. This can be done only with proper food habits and proper physical exercise. Here are some other points to be noted:
· The goals you set should be for the reason that you want to see change in yourself. But not for others. Like if your spouse is saying so, then you are doing it.
· This goal should not be one with which you want a specific purpose. Like you just want to lose as you want to look good at an upcoming party.
· There should be a good reason for which you want to lose weight. May be like you want some more years of life; decrease a risk of a disease.
· Weight loss is a thing that one should do for them. Such that you want to see a change in yourself beneath from inside and also physically.
If you keep these extra points in mind, these will keep you motivated till you achieve your goals. And remember. All of this should be done under proper medical guidance.
